Karela Posto
Ingredients:

•Bitter gourd (cut in round slices) 250 g (Karela)
•Poppy seeds 25 g (khus khus)
•Black mustard seeds 25 g (rai or sarson)
•Green chillies 2-3, chopped
•Cooking oil, 2 Tbsp
Turmeric powder 1 tsp
•Red chilli powder 1 tsp
•Sugar 1 tsp
•Salt to taste
•Onion seeds (Kalonji) 1 tsp

Soak the karela in salt water for about 20-25minutes.
After that, drain the salt water and wash the kaela with plain water well. Keep aside.
Take poppy seeds, water and mustard seeds and grind them to make a paste.
Heat a fry pan and fry some kalonji, with green chillies. Add the above gravy . Now add the karela and fry for 2-3 minutes. Now add the remaining spices like turmeric powder, and lal mirch. Add a minor pinch of sugar too. Add a cup of water and cover the pan and let it boil for 10-15 min. When the karela becomes soft , take it off the flame.
