Soak the karela in salt water for about 20-25minutes.
After that, drain the salt water and wash the kaela with plain
water well. Keep aside.
Take poppy seeds, water and mustard seeds and grind them
to make a paste.
Heat a fry pan and fry some kalonji, with green chillies.
Add the above gravy . Now add the karela and fry for 2-3
minutes. Now add the remaining spices like turmeric powder,
and lal
mirch.
Add
a minor pinch
of sugar too. Add a cup of water and cover the pan and let
it boil for 10-15 min. When the karela becomes soft , take
it off the flame.
Serve hot and enjoy!!
